I found this book to be fun very real life like. Love at first sight does happen. Rarely but it does happen. I look forward to read other books by Mr Parker. I couldn't put this one down! I seemed to just inhale it! Definitely worth the tie to read and the money to buy it. Thank you sir for your fine work.

I was in love with this story from the opening scene!! This is a sweet book that made me tear up in a good way!!
Danny & Avery are the perfect odd couple. One is a billionaire & the other a pool lifeguard who meet, get drunk & get married all in One night.... nothing could go wrong with the mix, right?
OK, so this was a nice, sweet story wrapped around a lot of 'no-fcking-way-did-that-just-happen'
And while this is no fairytale per se I needed a little of that famous fairytale dust sprinkled on top of everything to make that 'I-can't-believe-any-of-this' somewhat believable.
And they did live happily ever after.
And I'll keep reading 📖
I don't even know where to start. The plot is weak. Avery is the heir of a hotel empire, his inheritance being conditional of him being married. 2 years ago while wasted out of his mind he did get married - to Danny, a lifeguard in his hotel.
Now he wants Danny to pretend to be his real husband to get his inheritance. He is supposedly high profile. Yet nobody, not even the lawyer handling the inheritance, checks on the marriage certificate or the spouse. Nobody notices that they don't live together. WTF??!!!!
The grandfather or the jealous ex-boyfriend arc never amount to any conflict in the book. There are more potholes than story in this book. Skipped a lot of it and DNF, would not recommend.
I completely enjoyed reading this book. Parker had me from the first page. Can't wait to read his next gay romance novel. Just the right amount of suspense and I appreciate him keeping the sex scenes down to a minimum. All in all, just the right mix. Thank you Parker Elliot.
Once you accept that there is a Ring which controls all others and it can only be destroyed by throwing it into Mount Doom, Frodo's struggle to reach it becomes an epic adventure. Same here once you accept the fanciful and impulsive marriage, you are consumed in a beautifully written adventure. I don't know why the adventure starts two years later - why not two weeks later? Two months later? But two years later? Anyhow the author handles and writes it very well. I loved how Danny and Avery reconnected, worked out their differences and grudges, advancing to a well deserved HEA.
